CONGRATULATIONS

To Real Madrid for winning the champions league and secure La Liga titles 2016-17. Real Madrid have been crowned champions of La Liga for the first time since 2011-12, having defeated Malaga 2-0 at La Rosaleda.

Cristiano Ronaldo put Madrid on their way with a goal in just the second minute before Karim Benzema made the lead comfortable in the second half to give the visitors a first Spanish league trophy under manager Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane has only been in the job since January 2016, taking over following Rafael Benitez's short-lived reign.

Zidane’s men have been playing under intense pressure since losing 3-2 to Barcelona in one of the all-time great Clasicos in April. Failure to win any of their last six fixtures might have been fatal, but the Frenchman guided his side to great victories over Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia, Granada, Sevilla and Celta.

Zidane's ability to man-mange his players effectively has been crucial in transitioning him to superb head coach. He showed the guts and personality to make big calls.

Whether it was limiting James Rodriguez's playing time -- his minutes fell for the third straight year, not something to be taken lightly when you consider he's the club's third-most expensive player ever, is a personal favorite of Florentino Perez.

Gareth Bale missed a chunk of the season through injury -- or persuading Cristiano Ronaldo that he did not need to play every minute of every game down the stretch, Zidane was unafraid to make the bold moves.
Real Madrid has won their 33 league championship tittle.

Real Madrid also celebrates their victory over Juventus that makes them lift the UEFA champion league title .

Real Madrid became the first team to retain the UEFA Champions League, and Cristiano Ronaldo the first player to score in three finals, as a clinical display proved too much for Juventus in Cardiff and secured their 12th European crown.

The match, which already had the fans at the edge of their seat, became highly interesting and entertaining when Mario Mandzukic scored an equaliser a few minutes after Ronaldo’s opener.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero at the Principality Stadium, scoring twice to move a step closer to matching Lionel Messi's record of five Ballons d'Or.

No team had won titles back-to-back in the Champions League era but that changed on Saturday when the title holders defeated 10-man Juventus 4-1 in Cardiff.

All in all, Madrid did what Madrid do. They win, they retool and they go again.
