Official:
AS Roma has signed Dutch defender Rick Karsdorp from Feyenoord for €14 million fee.
Despite his young age, Rick has already shown he possesses great talent. Rick Karsdorp was one of the key players in the Feyenoord side which won a historic Eredivisie title last season and has now decided to try his luck in Italy. At just 22, he becomes Roma's second signing of the summer after the arrival of Hector Moreno from PSV Eindhoven.
Roma have secured an automatic spot in next season's Champions League and are hoping to strengthen for a fresh assault on the competition after their failure to qualify for the group stages last term.
Karsdorp has represented the Netherlands at every age group
from Under-17 to the senior national side. He made his full debut for his
country in October 2016 in a World Cup qualifier against France. The right-back’s most recent appearance came against
Bulgaria in March.
Karsdorp will wear the No. 26 shirt during the forthcoming
campaign with Roma.
