Mohamed Salah has joined Liverpool from Roma

Mohamed Salah has joined Liverpool from Roma in a club-record deal worth £37million.


The Egyption arrived in Merseyside on Tuesday to undergo medical checks and put the final touches on personal terms.


The Egyptian, who turns 25 this June ,will take over the jersey No 11 from  Roberto Firmino, who has jumped at the chance to switch to No.9

After only six Premier League starts following his £11m move to Chelsea, Salah had loan spells at Fiorentina and Roma before joining the latter in a permanent move for about £15m last summer..

He was a key figure as Roma finished second in Serie A last season, scoring 15 goals in 31 league appearances.

Mohamed Salah is without a doubt one of the shining lights of Arabic football. Nicknamed the ‘Egyptian Messi’ by his passionate fans, he is currently the standout player from his country.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes the signing of Mohamed Salah could help fire the Reds to major silverware in the near future. Mohamed Salah will join with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Divock origi and Philippe Coutinho as Liverpool forwards this season.
